Rita R Brambrink, age 90, of St Cloud, died Thurs., Oct. 6, 2016 at Talahi Nursing Center. 

 

Rita was born on April 14, 1926 to Andrew Sr. & Celia (Spitzka) Smelter. Rita is survived by her 5 children and spouses, Greg (Kasson MN), Dale & Yvonne (Princeton), James & Darcy (St Cloud), Mark & Barb (Kasson) and daughter Mary Jo (Buffalo). She was blessed with 11  grandchildren and 21 greatgrandchildren.  She was proceeded in death by her husband Adolph Brambrink in 1985, and 2 infant children Ross and Julia.  

 

Rita married Adolph Brambrink in 1949 in Gilman and together both farmed and lived in St Cloud all their lives. Rita was a great gardener, loved to cook and bake and enjoyed reading.  Rita later lived at Dewey Place in Foley for 15 years made many friends and enjoyed the company of family including visits from nieces and nephews.  

 

A mass of resurrection is at 10:30 on Oct. 29, at St. Patricks Parish Sauk Rapids with Fr. Micheal Wolfbauer officiating.  Rita will be missed and her faith in God was kept in her daily prayers.
