Phyllis (Tootsie) Marie George, 66 of Princeton, passed away peacefully Sun. May 17 at the Elim Home in Princeton. She was born May 18, 1948 in Princeton, the daughter of Art and Opal (Borneke) George.

 

Phyllis loved sports, being around people and she loved to ice fish. She umpired and coached softball in Princeton and Santiago. Phyllis was an appreciated Santiago Lions Club member who had a passion for raising funds by selling raffle tickets and calling bingo. During her short stay in the Princeton Elim Home she was the “best” bingo caller they ever had.

 

Phyllis is survived by her brother Leroy and sister-in-law Sandy George of Princeton, Nieces Stacy Cameron, Leslie Wojtowicz, Nephews Paul, Greg, Chris, Billy, Mark, Chad and Rodney George, and 21 Great Nieces and Nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and older brothers Jim, Lester and Rodney.

 

Funeral will be held at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Santiago on Wednesday, May 27, with visitation at 10 a.m. and Funeral at 11 a.m.
