Visitation services were at 10:00 a.m. with funeral services following at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 10th, 2025 at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services, 805 E Division St, River Falls, WI 54022 for Marie K. Kern, age 78 of River Falls, WI. She died peacefully at Our House Senior Living – River Falls Memory Care facility on April 6, 2025 in the early morning. Burial will be at later date in Becker Cemetery, MN.

Marie was born July 9, 1946 to Wilbur and Allie (Bruse) Lemmon in Princeton, MN. She spent most of life in Becker, and married Gary Kern December 14, 1968. Marie worked at Norm’s Farm Market for several years. She enjoyed spending time with family. Marie will be missed by all that knew her.

Marie was reunited in heaven with her husband, Gary, on Sunday, April 6, 2025. She was also met by her parents, Allie and Wilbur Lemmon, her sisters and brother, friends, and family.

Marie loved Vikings and Packers, jellybeans, black coffee, salt, walking, animals (especially her dogs), 500 rummy (cards in general), a self-proclaimed bad ass at the ring toss game and hated green beans.

Survivors include her Godchildren (Lisa, Jennie, Cheryl and David), many other nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
