Donald Mach, age 75, of Pease and formerly Jordan, died Sunday, April 26 at his home. Memorial Mass was Friday, May 1 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Milaca. The Rev. Jim Remmerswaal officiated. Private family interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Jordan. Service with Dignity provided by Foley Funeral Home.
Donald Joseph Mach was born August 14, 1939 in New Prague, Minnesota the son of Joseph and Adeline (Kadrlik) Mach. He graduated from New Prague High School and spent 30 years working in construction for the Ironworkers Local 512 Union. On May 4, 1963, Don was united in marriage with Dolores ‘Dolly’ Dumar in Jordan. The couple raised their three sons in Jordan and then moved to Big Lake until 1998. After Don’s retirement, they moved to Cimarron, New Mexico and moved back to Minnesota in 2007. Don was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Milaca, the Knights of Columbus Immaculate Conception Council, Cimarron, NM, and the Big Lake Lions Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, playing cards and reading.
Don is survived by his wife, Dolly of Pease; sons: Gordon (Rita) of Zimmerman, Bud (Roxie) of Jordan and Jerry (Cindy) of Zimmerman; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Juanita (Larry) Peters of New Prague and Elaine (Chuck) Slavik of Tucson, Arizona; as well as other relatives and friends.
