Visitation was Tuesday, October 11 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids for Darlene M. Wagar who passed away on Friday at St. Benedict’s Senior Community in St. Cloud after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Burial will be private at a later date.
Darlene was born on July 13, 1939 in St. Cloud to Fred and Jenny (Dibblee) Kramer. She married Phillip Wagar in St. Cloud on January 9, 1956. Darlene has lived in the St. Cloud area for most of her life. She worked at Franklin, the St. Cloud Daily Times and Golden Plump Inc. Darlene volunteered for St. Cloud Friends of the Library and for Catholic Charities. Darlene enjoyed bird watching, flower gardening and trips to the casino. She also loved camping, dark chocolate, Holiday coffee and her Springer Spaniels.
Survivors include her daughters and son, Mary Jo (Dennis) DeSota of Blaine, Linda Wagar of St. Cloud, Kimberly Wagar of St. Cloud and Troy Wagar of St. Cloud; grandson, Tim (Barb) DeSota of Blaine; great grandson Chad DeSota of Blaine; and sisters, Esther Renner of St. Cloud, Lorraine Duea of Champlin, Carol Kramer of St. Cloud and many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Phillip in 1995; parents; brother, Marlin Kramer and granddaughter, Denise DeSota. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
