Charles P. (Chuck) Maurer, age 54, of Becker, was taken suddenly Tuesday, July 21, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 am Monday, July 27, at St. Marcus Catholic Church in Clear Lake. Gathering 1 hour before and reception immediately followed. Interment was held Tuesday at 11 am at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls. Friends and family were invited to a celebration of Chuck's life on Sunday, July 26, from 2-6 pm at the home of Bruce Maurer. Chuck is survived by daughters Alenita and Cassy and son Patrick. He is survived by mother, Connie; sisters Dee Maurer of Burnsville and Beth Miller of Washington state; brothers Ken of Becker, Jerry of Washington state, Mike of St. Paul, Bruce of Albertville, Dave of Monticello, and Bill of Brainerd. He was preceded in death by father Ken Sr. Donations to cover funeral expenses are requested in lieu of flowers. (Obit from Star Tribune)
