Planning a wedding or celebrating a graduation? Hosting an event? Check out the Warner Lake Nature Center in Clearwater.

 

Thirty people attended the first ever open house for Warner Lake Nature Center April 23. The open house was held from 1 to 7 p.m., and allowed people to get an idea of what amenities the center has available.

 

The Stearns County Parks Dept receives numerous requests a year to view the interior of the center, an enclosed building at Warner Lake County Park that can be reserved for meetings, weddings, family get-togethers, graduation parties or other events.

 

“Most people aren’t aware that the Warner Lake Nature Center is reserveable,” said Julie Nistler, parks department specialist. “It’s available to rent year around, seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.”

 

The center features six-foot tables with seating for 100, two moveable walls, restroom and a kitchenette, which includes a refrigerator, stove and microwave. Renters need to provide their own dishes and other supplies.

 

Renting the center provides access to the entire 264-acre park, which includes trails for hiking and biking, a swimming beach, fishing pier and play area. 

 

Rental is $125 for the first four hours and $25 for each additional hour. Non-profits receive a 50% discount on the first four hours. 

 

Warner Lake Park is located just off Co Rd 75, at 1485 Co Rd 143 in Clearwater.
