Upcoming Programs At Becker Public Library

The Becker Public Library will be offering the following programs in April:

Preschoolers ages 3 to 6 are invited to Preschool Storytime at the library on Tue., April 21 from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. The program includes stories, flannel boards, singing and crafts designed to help build kindergarten readiness.

Elsie, the certified Reading Education Assistance Dog, will be at the library on Sat., April 25 from 11 a.m. to noon. Children aged five to 12 are invited to read to Elsie, who loves to sit quietly and listen to stories. Each session is 15 to 20 minutes long, and registration is required. Reading to a therapy dog is beneficial to children who are not confident readers.

Toddlers and preschoolers aged two to six are invited to Toddler/Preschool Sensory Day at the library on Tue., April 28 from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. The program focuses on the five skills: Reading, singing, talking, playing and writing. Stations are set up for self-directed time with a child’s parent or caregiver.
