Trump parade sees great turnout

In an amazing show of support for President Donald Trump, 52 vehicles and dozens of patriots from the Becker/Big Lake areas spent the morning last Sunday tooling through the streets of Becker, Big Lake and parts of Monticello with flags of support for 45.

Lynn Hamacher organized the event that had a starting point on Lobelia Street in Elk Wynd Creek, east of Becker.

Gary Cox was in the lead truck as he guided the parade down Co. Rd. 24 to take a right on Co. Rd. 23. The vehicles circled the city then hit the road for Big Lake via Hwy. 10. They made their way through town and ventured towards Monticello, veering onto Co. Rd. 11 to return to the Becker area.

The group then made another trip around the main areas of Becker before departing on their own.

Many of the vehicles sported Trump 2020, Make America Great Again banners and others displayed American flags or Back the Blue flags.

Several families and friends lined the streets along the route to show their support.

Another Trump parade is scheduled for today (Saturday) in St. Cloud.  The participants will be gathering in the parking lot at Lake George at 12:30 p.m. with the parade starting at 1 p.m.

“I want to thank everyone that was at the Trump parade today and your support for our president is very important,” said Hamacher. “I think that it was a big success. A special thank you to Gary Cox for doing a wonderful job leading our parade. And of course all my sons daughter-in-laws and grand children that have my back. Let’s keep the Trump train going.”
