MEMBERS OF THE BECKER ROBOTICS operation and drive team — Logan Steffen, Sam Somrock and Joel Wilson — maneuvered their robot to protect their castle from impeding foes during last weekend’s state championships at Mariucci Arena at the University of Minnesota.
IN A RARE, UNPRECEDENTED MOVE by the Becker Robotics drive team, “Torque” scaled the castle wall during a qualifying round to score some significant points for the blue alliance team.

Becker lost their first semi-final, 205-95 after suffering a few technical malfunctions, but got the robot fixed between rounds and prepared for semi-final round #2. They took the loss, 185-90 to push them out of first place competition.

The Becker Robotics team is asking anybody interested to attend their annual sponsors, family & friends night, June 1 from 6-7 p.m. in the main commons of Becker High School. Guests will hear from coaches and participants and get the chance to meet the team’s robot,  Torque.
