Red Wing Man Arrested After Fleeing Police To Becker Twp.

A Red Wing man was arrested after a high-speed police chase along Hwy. 10 Tuesday morning.
 
Sherburne County Sheriff Joel Brott says deputies responded to a driving complaint at approximately 9:33 a.m. on 293rd Ave. near 156th Street in Blue Hill Township. A complaint came into the Sheriff’s Dept. of a motorist reportedly varying his speeds and slamming on his brakes.  
 
A Sherburne County deputy pinpointed a vehicle matching the description of the complaint traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on Co. Rd. 5. The deputy activated the squad’s emergency lights and a pursuit began. Additional deputies responded to assist.
 
The pursuit continued through Orrock and into the City of Big Lake, then west on Hwy. 10 towards Becker. The chase concluded along Hwy. 10, a short distance into Becker Township.
 
The driver, Jordan Anthony Denk, 29, was arrested and booked into the Sherburne County Jail for charges of fleeing police in a motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance.
 
Big Lake and Becker police departments assisted Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office.
