On April 4 at approximately 9:30 a.m., Wright County Deputies initiated a traffic stop near Hwy. 25 and School Blvd. in the city of Monticello. The driver of the vehicle fled from deputies and a short pursuit was initiated. 

The vehicle continued to flee from deputies onto Interstate 94 east. The vehicle left the roadway east of Fallon Ave. The driver of the vehicle then fled on foot into the area of East Broadway and Meadow Oak Ln. 

Deputies deployed a K9 unit as well as Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and located the driver hiding in the 2600 block of Meadow Oak Lane. 

John Proper (40 year old from Greenbush) was arrested for felony flee in a motor vehicle. Other charges may be pending including several outstanding warrants.
