Deputy Ryan Sturm and his K-9 partner, Ecco, won top honors at the USPCA Region 12 Police dog trials held last week in Baxter, MN. Ecco finished 1st of 87 dogs from Minnesota, Wisconsin, and North Dakota, scoring 691 points out of a possible 700, earning him the title of top dual purpose K9 of 2014 in Region 12. Ryan has been with the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office since 2004 and began his partnership with Ecco in 2009.
