Sgt. Heather M. Hoglund has been promoted to the position of Lt. Commander of the California Highway Patrol, effective July 1, 2021.
Hoglund, raised in Becker and a 1984 graduate of Becker High School, began her career with CHP Dec. 9, 2002, entering the Academy in Sacramento, CA. Upon graduation, she served her “break-in” time in San Jose, then moved on the Central Los Angeles and ultimately to the West Valley office.
As an officer and sergeant, Lt. Hoglund has served in various roles, including Public Information Officer, interacting frequently with local and national media. As of her effective promotion date, she will be the commander of the Conejo Commercial Vehicle Enforcement facility, located in Thousand Oaks, CA.
Heather is the daughter of Mary and Michael Gillham and Ronald and Kathleen Hoglund.
