Although the day was hot, there was no rain and everyone had a great time at the annual Golf for Hope event, sponsored by the Clearwater Travel Plaza.

Held at Driftwood Golf & Fitness in Clearwater, the tournament began at 10 a.m. with 35 teams participating. After which, the participants headed over to the Travel Plaza to enjoy a grilled meal out on the patio.

Over $13,000 was raised that will be donated to CentraCare Health Foundation for the St. Cloud Hospital Breast Center.

Saturday, Oct. 6 the Clearwater Travel Plaza will be hosting their 10th annual Walk for Hope event at Warner Lake Co. Park in Clearwater starting at 9 a.m. Along with the walk, there will be a silent auction, prizes and refreshments. 

The money raised at this event will also go to the St. Cloud Hospital Breast Center.
