The Becker Dazzlers High School dance team performed in the Becker Freedom Days parade for the fifth consecutive year Saturday.
Twenty-three of the team members danced through the entire parade route with only quick breaks to through out candy to parade spectators.
Riding the parade float — provided by TJ Potter Trucking and also sponsored by Ed's Country Glass and the Becker Community Center — were Dazzlers Freedom Days dance camp participants. The participants also had the opportunity to perform downtown after the parade along with the Dazzlers dance team.
The afternoon was filled with fun, local celebrities and cold water as the dance team members and local “celebrities” Police Chief Bent Baloun, Youth Pastor Doug Watercott, Mayor Lefty Kleis and Council Member Tracy Bertram took turns in the dunk tank as part of a fundraiser for the team.
