Cw/Lynden Twp Clean Up Day Busier Than Usual

The cars were lined up down Hwy 75 and just kept coming.

Clearwater and Lynden Township’s annual clean up day on April 30 was a success, with 36 Clearwater City residents and at least 42 Lynden Township residents dropping off unwanted items.

“By 10 last year we were able to take a break,” said Lynden Township clerk, Jenny Schmidt. “With the warmer weather this year people must have gotten their spring cleanup done earlier.”

In all, 42 appliances, 172 tires, 4,176 pounds of e-waster, 2 steel dumpsters of metal and 4 garbage trucks of refuse were collected.
