The Clearwater Travel Plaza was even busier than usual a couple of weeks ago, as they hosted their annual Party on the Patio Customer and Employee Appreciation event.

The party once again kicked off with the Clearwater Legion Riders escorting the Plaza’s honored guests, including veterans from the St. Cloud VA. Upon arrival, area veterans joined them in being escorted down the red carpet, flanked on both sides by members of the Legion Color Guard.

Although a sudden rain shower sent guests hiding under the canopies, it didn’t stop the large crowd from enjoying the free food, cash bar, and music. Employee recognition awards were given out at 6 p.m., and a silent auction was held from 4 to 6:30, with all proceeds going to the St. Cloud Veterans Hospital recreation activities. 

Clearwater Travel Plaza hosts their Party on the Patio event each year to honor veterans and thank their customers and outstanding employees.
