It’s become an annual tradition in Clearwater to pick up a flower basket for Mother’s Day at the Clearwater American Legion.  

 

What might seem a little unusual is who puts on this event - the Legion Riders.  

 

For those who aren’t familiar with the Riders, they are a group of motorcycle enthusiasts within the Legion family. The Clearwater American Legion Riders chapter was established in 2007 and currently has 49 members.  The Riders often get asked why bikers are selling flowers.  The reason is simple - the sales raise funds for us to help our Legion and local veterans.   

 

This year’s Flower Sale will be Saturday, May 7 starting at 9 a.m. at the Clearwater Legion and continue until the baskets are gone.  As usual, there will be a variety of plants on display, so there will be a nice selection to pick from.
