Twelve primary school students were chosen as winners in the annual Fire Safety Week coloring contest at the Becker Primary School this week.
The two groups of six children got a chance to ride home from school in style this week, as Becker Firefighter Ron Kortz chauffeured the excited students home in a big red fire engine Thursday and Friday.
Kortz also served as the judge for the coloring contest entries.
The winners of the contests on Thursday were: Sam Kasowski (Murphy), Noelle McLeod (Williams), Samantha Lumley (Bucher), Aynsley Holm (Benda), Logan Miller (Babler) and Alyssa Cheney (Siebert).
The winners of the contests on Friday were: Farah Sandin (Lahr), Wyatt St. Denis (Borkoski), Sabrina Novak (Simmet), Kennedy Drayna (Welinski), Allen Abfalter (N. Klassen) and Gus Olson (O’Brian).
