Clearview Hosts Cinco De Mayo Family Fun Fiesta

It was time for family fun at Clearview Elementary during their Cinco de Mayo fiesta night May 6.

Kids of all ages, parents, staff and volunteers filled the school to take part in the festivities, which were full of food, games and activities.

There were numerous games for the kids to try their hand at, including bowling, Frisbee toss, a lollypop tree, bingo and a duck pond. Bernick’s donated bottles of soda for the pop toss, and Coborn’s donated cookies for the always-popular cakewalk.

There were also many activities to choose from. Young and old had fun with the props available for the photo booth, and the craft station had kids using their creativity. Nail studio and tattoo stations were busy areas, and Lee and Friends from Clearwater donated their time and products for the extremely popular “wild hair” hair salon.

Clearview’s Amity Interns were on hand serving as the evening’s DJs, playing upbeat dance music and holding hula-hoop and limbo contests.

When attendees were ready for a snack break, both a nacho bar and a taco bar that included rice, beans and churros were waiting. Taco Gringo donated salsa and chips, and The Kettle donated the fixings for the tacos.

Thrivent Financial’s Action Team donated seed money to help purchase supplies and other materials that also helped make the event a success.

Clearview’s family fun night is an annual event held to bring the Clearview community together to celebrate and just have fun.
