Briggs Lake store holds grand opening

Despite the absence of the wildly popular annual Palmer Day festivities, Mitch and Jen Wipper (new owners of Briggs Lake General Store), did their best to bring the fun to Palmer last Saturday on what would have been Palmer Day.
The Palmer store offered free hot dogs and popcorn and special rates on their ice cream and 1919 draft root beer floats. There was free knife sharpening offered and bean bags and other games for the kids, as well as a chance to win candy.
