Blue Star mothers honor Wright County graduates

The Wright County Area Blue Star Mothers chapter proudly presented Honor Cords to 40 graduating seniors from Wright County area communities entering the service.

This is the chapter’s fourth year recognizing the young adults making a commitment to service in the United States Armed Forces. Each graduating senior received a red, white, and blue honor cord which symbolizes the chapter’s sincerest gratitude for their commitment to the Armed Forces.

The Wright County Area Blue Star Mothers, along with Wright County communities are very proud of these young adults making the commitment to the United States of America. As they support the Armed Forces, they would like to invite mothers to join the group.

They will be hosting a Meet and Greet on Mon., July 10 at Sturges Park, Upper Pavillion from 6-8 p.m. Root beer floats will be served as they gather to introduce all to Blue Star Mothers. All military families are invited to attend. Mothers of 2023 graduates who received Honor Cords from the Blue Star Mothers also received a special invitation for their mothers to join the chapter. If one has a recent graduate who did not receive a cord from them from a Wright County School, contact them at president.mn13@bluestarmothers.us or text or leave a voicemail at 612-849-0698, as some schools would not let the organization distribute cords to seniors entering the Armed Forces.

The chapter welcomes moms, new and experienced, Veterans and community members to come out and get to know who they are and what they do!
