On Sept. 21, Santiago couple Katelyn and Caleb Nieters gave birth to a baby girl. The new baby happened to be born on the birthday of her great-grandpa, Michael Roy Woolard. In honor of the shared birthday, the parents decided to set aside the names they had been considering and name their girl Aurora (Rory) Mikela, as a play on her great-grandpa’s name.

Both parents, Aurora, and one-year old sister, Everleigh Rose, are living with the grandparents Michael and Kathy Woolard while their house in Foley is being finished.

“Grandpa was ecstatic when he heard the name,” said Kathy Woolard. “Mike and I think it’s so very special.”

Aurora Mikela weighed 6lbs, 10oz and was 19 inches long.
