TITLE AND SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE 2025-01

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING 

THE CITY’S FEE SCHEDULE

The City Council of the City of Clearwater, Minnesota, Counties of Wright and Stearns, does hereby amend the City’s fee schedule ordinance for 2025 effective January 1, 2025.  Shown here is a summary of the changes.

- Reduced Insufficient Funds fee to $20.00.

- Reduced Special Meeting fee for Boards/

  Commissions to $300.00.

- Added clarifying language to Park and Recreation rental 

  fees to show what is included.

- Added an annual permit fee of $50.00 for annual 

  gambling permits.

- Reduced temporary sign permit fee to $10.00.

- Added clarifying language to building permit fees 

  for new construction permits.

- Increased water and sewer usage rates approximately 

  5%.

- Increased refuse and recycling fees approximately 5%.

- Increased storm sewer and mosquito fees approximately 

  5%.

- Added a commercial usage fee of $2.50 per 1,000 

  gallons over 9,999 gallons.

- Added ordinance text amendment fee of $400 

  application fee plus $1,000 escrow per request.
