BOARD HIGHLIGHTS

This represents a summary of the Work Session of the Board of Education of Big Lake Public Schools #727. A complete set of minutes will be on file at the District Office and on our website at www.biglakeschools.org upon Board approval.

I. CALL TO ORDER

The Work Session of the Board of Education of Independent School District No. 727, Big Lake Schools was called to order on September 5, 2023.

II. ROLL CALL

All Board members were present except Mr. Derek Nelson.

III. WRESTLING REQUEST

Reviewed a request for new wrestling singlets.

IV. SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER UPDATE

Superintendent Truebenbach updated the board on the SRO program.

V. DISTRICT FACILITIES AND FINANCIAL NEEDS 

DISCUSSION

Discussed bond referendum, operating levy, tech levy, and field house. The October 12, 2023 Work Session was rescheduled to Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 5:00 PM in the Middle School Student Center.

VI. ANNOUNCE CLOSED SESSION

Chair Reasoner read a statement to enter a closed session for Superintendent Truebenbach’s evaluation and goal review.

VII. ADJOURNMENT

A motion passed to adjourn the meeting.
