The Board Chair Opened the County Board Workshop Meeting

Staff and Client Demographic Overview and Workforce Retention Discussion Health & Human Services

Amanda Larson, HHS Director, Corey Mabis-Rowe, Director of Community Corrections

Health and Human Services Director Amanda Larson and Community Corrections Director Corey Mabis-Rowe presented workforce and client demographics and spoke to the business case about how and why representation matters when working with client caseloads. The group also reviewed a consultancy proposal that would help with workforce retention and cultural competency solutions when working with clients. 

Overview of the Cannabis Legislation. Administration

Kathleen Heaney, County Attorney, Jennifer Pim, Joel Brott, County Sheriff, Dan Weber, Assistant County Administrator

Assistant County Attorney Jennifer Pim presented an overview and led a discussion relating to the Cannabis Legislation. Feedback was provided and the item will be brought back at a future meeting.

Commissioner NACo Conference Review. Administration

Dan Weber, Assistant County Administrator

Reviewed and discussed the take aways from the July National Association of Counties conference. Commissioners shared their concentrations while at the conference and offered suggestions to staff.
