NOTICE TO RESIDENTS

VACANCY ON THE PLANNING COMMISSION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Big Lake is presently seeking applicants to fill one (1) seat on the Big Lake Planning Commission. The term for this seat will run from January 2023 through December 2026. 

The Planning Commission meets at 6:00 p.m. on the first Monday of each month and is an advisory group to the City Council on land use within the city, providing recommendations on applications such as land subdivision, planned unit developments, variances and conditional use permits.  

Any City resident interested in serving on the Big Lake Planning Commission should submit a letter of interest that includes a description of employment and educational background relevant to the position as well as reasons for applying and their aspirations for the future of Big Lake. Questions pertaining to the vacancy should be directed to City Planner Lucinda Spanier at 763-251-2977 or lspanier@biglakemn.org.
