NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITIES PLAN

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Big Lake, Sherburne County, Minnesota will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at or about 6:00 pm at City Hall council chambers, 160 Lake Street North the following matter:

To receive comments on the draft Facilities Plan for the wastewater treatment facility.

The recommended improvements are intended to meet long-term wastewater service needs of the community.  Construction of the improved facilities may be scheduled for as early as 2026.  The Facilities Plan outlines the alternatives studied, recommendations for improvements, and cost estimates for facility improvements.

A copy of the draft Facility Plan will be available for review at City Hall or on the City’s website beginning Wednesday, February 7, 2024.

All interested persons are encouraged to attend the hearing and provide comments.  If you desire to be heard in reference to this matter, you should attend this hearing or submit written comments to Dan Childs at dchilds@biglakemn.org by February 13, 2024. Comments are encouraged and will become part of the Facilities Plan for subsequent submission to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.
