CALL TO ORDER
The Work Session of the Board of Education of Independent School District No. 727, Big Lake Schools was called to order on January 7, 2026.

All Board members were present.

JOINT POWERS MEETING PRESENTATION
DISCUSSION
Superintendent Truebenbach discussed using the same format as last year with updated information for the presentation at the Joint Powers Meeting.

CALENDAR DISCUSSION
Superintendent Truebenbach updated the board that he will continue working on the 2026-2027 school calendar with a start date before Labor Day.

BUDGET UPDATE
Discussed potential cuts, timeline, and class sizes due to adjustments that need to be made to the budget.

ADJOURNMENT
Chair Reasoner adjourned the meeting.
