NOTICE TO RESIDENTS

VACANCIES ON THE PARKS ADVISORY COMMITTEE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Big Lake is presently seeking applicants to fill one (1) vacant seat on the Big Lake Parks Advisory Committee (PAC). The term for this seat will run through December 31, 2027.

The Parks Advisory Committee meets at 6:00 p.m. on the fourth Monday of each month and is an advisory group to the City Council on all issues facing parks and trails including maintaining existing parks and trails, creating new parks and trails, and recommending developers either dedicate parkland or donate cash in lieu, etc. The Committee acts on these issues and forwards that information to the City Council for final approval.

Any City resident interested in serving on the Parks Advisory Committee should submit a letter of interest that includes a description of the applicant’s employment and educational background which may be relevant to the position as well as their reasons for applying and their aspirations for the future of the Big Lake parks and trails system.
