NOTICE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE TO REPEAL 

AND REPLACE THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE 

BIG LAKE CITY CODE 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Big Lake City Council will consider a proposed ordinance which repeals and replaces the full Code of Ordinances of the Big Lake City Code. Upon adoption of the new language, all prior City Code language will be repealed and replaced in its entirety. Upon adoption, the Code of Ordinances of the City of Big Lake shall consist of the following Titles:

Chapter 1 – Code Introduction

Chapter 2 – Operations and Administration

Chapter 3 – Licensing

Chapter 4 – Alcoholic Beverages

Chapter 5 – Nuisances, Offenses, and other Regulations

Chapter 6 – Traffic and Motor Vehicles

Chapter 7 – Streets and Sidewalks

Chapter 8 – Municipal Utilities

Chapter 9 – Building/Housing

Chapter 10 – Zoning

Chapter 11 – Subdivision

Chapter 12 – Reserved

Chapter 13 – Signs

Chapter 14 – Right-of-Way Management

Chapter 15 – Rural and Urban Taxing District

Appendix A – Fee Schedule

Council will consider the Repeal and Replace of the City of Big Lake Code of Ordinances at their meeting on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 beginning at 6:00 p.m. or shortly thereafter, in the Big Lake City Council Chambers located at 160 Lake Street North, Big Lake, MN 55309.  A copy of the proposed ordinance is available upon request at the City of Big Lake located at 160 Lake St N.
