NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

ORDINANCE 2024-08 - CANNABIS

Notice is hereby given that the Clearwater Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, September 16th, 2024, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, in the council chambers at Clearwater City Hall, 605 County Rd 75 NW, Clearwater, MN 55320.

The purpose of the public hearing is to hear from staff and anyone else interested and to thereafter make a recommendation to the Clearwater City Council regarding a proposed ordinance containing amendments to the city’s land use regulations related to cannabis and hemp businesses. Specifically, the proposed ordinance would establish certain regulations on such businesses, including establishing which zoning districts such businesses may operate within, in anticipation of their impending state licensure and establishment.

Anyone desiring to be heard regarding the proposed ordinance may speak during the public hearing. Comments may also be submitted in writing prior to the meeting. A copy of the proposed ordinance will be available for inspection at Clearwater City Hall during regular business hours no less than 10 days prior to the public hearing.
