Not just a Volunteer! The week of April 23-29 is National Volunteer Recognition week. On behalf of the 31 member organizations of The Volunteer Bridge in the Sherburne County area, I want to emphasize just how very critical our collective thousands of volunteers are to meeting the missions of each and every one of our organizations! 

 

In addition, I want to offer the following to anyone who volunteers, whether through a Volunteer Bridge member organization, a civic group, faith community or for a neighbor: Please remember you are not “just a volunteer”! So many volunteers speak little of what they do. Volunteers are generally a modest lot. Truth be told, countless good and important things would not be possible without volunteers offering themselves to be of service to others. Volunteers, be proud! Stand up! Claim your place of importance! Volunteer with gusto! Thank you for promoting what is good!

 

Thank you for offering and investing your precious time! Bravo!

 

Thank you as well to the Citizen for offering space to promote the continued need for volunteers throughout the year in space under The Volunteer Bridge logo. Yours is not just a newspaper, it too, is a force for good!
