To The Editor

Veteran’s Day used to be a day that many took the day off to visit the gravesite of veterans of days past or even to visit friends that were hospitalized in V.A. hospitals.

But this coming Veteran’s Day as we still enjoy our freedoms as Americans, many courageous and brave veterans will lie in beds in V.A. hospitals wondering if anyone still remembers them or if anyone cares.

Have we forgotten about the great grandfathers, grandfathers, dads, moms, brothers, sisters, uncles or cousins that have served courageously? What would it take to give a half hour or hour of your time to visit a veteran and thank them for their service and maybe even give them a big hug or bring them some kind of treat?

Use your imagination!
