During the Jan. 16, 2018 Becker City Council Executive workshop, council member Hendrickson questioned whether the council should respond to the recent editorials in the Sherburne County Citizen-Tribune.

 

He asked if it was the city’s responsibility to address them when someone wrote something that wasn’t factual. There was discussion had. It was suggested, rather than a back and forth in the paper, to make a generalized statement during a council meeting.

 

Council would check with the city administrator before proceeding. 

 

I challenge the council to be transparent and respond in any fashion they choose. Please do not dismiss or ignore the voters/citizens. All council meetings and executive sessions are recorded.
