Rsvp/The Volunteer Bridge

Outdoor Classroom Leader  - Think Spring!  Share your love of the outdoors with students in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade at the Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge in Sherburne County.  When school groups visit the Refuge, volunteers are needed to staff an outdoor learning station and share the topic information with students as they rotate into the area, or while the volunteer escorts them through.  Volunteers needed primarily in the fall and spring for about three hours 1-2 times per month.  All topics, materials and training provided.  Call Betsy, 763-389-3323 X13.

Music, Games, Conversation or…. Residents at Cherrywood Advanced Living in Big Lake enjoy different activities every day and would love volunteers to join in and help or entertain. Bingo callers, card players, craft lovers, bakers and musical entertainment are all interests which can be used the volunteer force. The activity calendar is very flexible and new ideas can always be added. Whether you want to come one time to check it out or would like to make Cherrywood a regular visit give them a call.  Call Stacy, 320-293-8731.
 
Guardian Angels † Elim Hospice – Share your gifts of listening, friendship, emotional support, and music with Hospice patients and families facing end of life issues. If you are a veteran, please consider volunteering. Guardian Angels † Elim Hospice participates in the We Honor Veterans program. If your pet is therapy certified, we would love to have you on our team. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.  We offer additional training for 11th hour volunteers.  Training new volunteers throughout February 2014.  Call Lynn, 763-241-0654.
