Homemaking – Routine housekeeping never felt so good!  Assist someone who is unable to do these basic homemaking tasks for themselves.  Great River Faith in Action will match a willing volunteer with a client in the Sherburne County area to assist 1-2 times a month, for 1-2 hours each time.   It could be you who makes the difference and helps a community elder to remain in their own home.  Contact Dani - danig@grfia.org - 763.263.4277.

 

Meal Packing - Package weekly meals for Becker/Clear Lake/Clearwater area senior citizens unable to cook a nutritious meal for themselves.  Help needed on Fridays from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm before drivers arrive for delivery of the meals.  Packaging location is in Becker.  Contact Dana/Barney - BeckerSrDining@ccstcloud.org - 763-261-4466.

 

Evening/Weekend Hosts – Great River Family Promise, providing services to local homeless families, needs volunteers in the evening/overnight to assist at a local church to provide hospitality to families in the evenings.  Volunteers can offer to prepare or serve a meal, provide companionship during the evening or take an overnight shift with another volunteer to make the guests comfortable.  Commitment is very flexible.  No more than 14 clients, including children, are present at any one time.  Nicki - vc@greatriverfamilypromise.org - 763-441-9093.
