Transportation – Drive Sherburne County Health and Human Service clients who have no other way to get to their doctor, employment, counseling or other necessary appointments.  Drivers use their own cars and are notified in advance.  Days and times are flexible.  Mileage and start-up costs are reimbursed.  Service depends on criminal background check, doctor’s permission, and a personal interview.  Drivers especially needed from the Becker/St. Cloud area who are willing to make trips to the Twin Cities metro area. Surgical Services Waiting Room Host(ess) – Greet patients and family members when they arrive for surgery. Explain the process and tracking options, escort guests and offer activities as needed. Summer Friends at Camp Friendship/Camp Courage - True Friends is a non-profit organization that provides summer camp opportunities children and adults with disabilities (learning, physical, and/or developmental). Campers participate in fun camp activities adapted for every ability level, including fishing, bonfires, music, nature, and hayrides.  Adult volunteers work in assigned cabins assisting staff and campers in a variety of camp activities including: arts & crafts, music, campfires, camping, boating, canoeing, swimming, and so much more! Youth volunteers (Camp Friendship only - ages 14-17) will be in our Leaders-in-Training program where half the day will be spent in cabins assisting with meal times and various camp activities. The other half with fellow volunteers learning about the population we serve, and participating in fun team building exercises.   No previous experience with the population is necessary.  True Friends will provide training, as well as housing and meals for the camp week.
