Youth Transport for Summer Program - Rivers of Hope, a support center for those dealing with domestic violence, offers youth ages 12-18 from Sherburne and Wright Counties a summer support program in Monticello.  Volunteers willing to use their own vehicles are needed to give the youth participants  rides to and from these valuable sessions.   Youth are picked up before 10 AM and return home after 2 PM.  Needed Mon/ Tues, and possibly Wed/Thurs.  Volunteers will arrange with staff  which of these trips will work into their schedules. Surgical Services Waiting Room – Greet patients and family members when they arrive for surgery at Fairview Northland Medical Center in Princeton. Explain the process and tracking options, escort guests and offer activities as needed. Perform projects for surgical staff as assigned. Summer Friends at Camp Friendship/Camp Courage - True Friends is a non-profit organization that provides summer camp opportunities for children and adults with disabilities. Campers participate in fun camp activities adapted for every ability level, including fishing, bonfires and music.  Adult volunteers work in assigned cabins assisting staff and campers in a variety of camp activities including: arts & crafts, boating, hayrides, swimming, and much more! Youth volunteers (ages 14-17) will be Leaders-in-Training: half the day with campers assisting with camp activities/half the day team building with other youth volunteers and learning about those we serve.   No previous experience with the population is necessary.  Training, housing and meals for the camp week provided.
