Becker Book Club – Ongoing. Read the monthly book selection and join the group for discussion. If you haven’t read the book, join the group for discussion anyway! Stop by the desk to hear about our current title and get more details. For adults. Registration is required.

 

Holiday Gingerbread Houses – Mon., Nov 27, 4:30-6p.m.. Create your own gingerbread house. Supplies of frosting, candies and graham crackers will be provided. For ages 5-12. Limit 25. Registration required. Sponsored by the Friends of the Becker Library.

 

Read and Play – Tues., Nov. 28 and Dec. 5 & 12, 10:30-11:15 a.m.. Children from ages 2 to 6 (with a favorite adult) are invited to enjoy books, songs, rhymes and movement activities while building language and early literacy skills through reading, singing, talking and playing. Craft project included. For ages 2-6. No registration necessary.

 

Evening Storytime – Thurs., Nov. 30 6:30-7:30 p.m.. This program is for children ages 2 to 6 and a favorite adult. The program includes books, songs, rhymes and movement activities. We build language and early literacy skills through reading, singing, talking and playing. For ages 2-6. Registration is required.

 

Breakfast with Santa Craft Time – Sat., Dec. 2, 9-11a.m.. After enjoying your visit with Santa at the Becker Community Center, venture down the hall to the library for a fun make-and-take craft. This is a self-directed event. For ages 3-12 while supplies last. Sponsored by the Friends of the Becker Library.

 

Hour of Code – Mon, Dec. 4, 6-7 p.m.. The first week of December, we’ll be observing the Hour of Code. Stop by the library to participate in some “unplugged” coding games and activities. For ages 5-12.

 

Make and Take Holiday Ornament – Wed., Dec.6, 5-6 p.m.. We’ll provide the supplies and you’ll create a new ornament to hang on the tree. This is a self-directed, come-and-go event. For ages 5-12. Limit 20. Registration is required. Sponsored by the Friends of the Becker Library.
