Community Puzzle – ongoing. The library has a puzzle table set up for people to work on while waiting for rides, swimming lessons to finish or to just relax. It can be found by the front windows. Sponsored by the Friends of the Becker Library. During open hours.

 

1000 Books Before Kindergarten - ongoing. A reading program designed to increase the awareness of early literacy and to encourage parents to embrace their role as their child’s first teacher. For ages 0-5. Sponsored by the Friends of the Becker Library.  Ongoing. Stop by the library to learn more and register.

 

Read and Play – Feb. 13, 20 and 27 from 10:30-11:15 a.m.. Children from ages 2 to 6 (with a favorite adult) enjoy books, songs, rhymes and movement activities while building language and early literacy skills through reading, singing, talking and playing. Craft project included. For ages 2-6. No registration necessary.

 

Tiny Tots Workshop – Feb. 14 from 10:30-11:15 a.m.. Join us for an early literacy-play session for babies and toddlers. This event includes a short story followed by play that is self-directed and open house style. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. For ages 0-3. No registration necessary.

 

Genealogy Workshop – Feb. 21 from 10 a.m.-noon. Access Ancestry –Library Edition and Heritage Quest to explore your family history. If you are interested in genealogy, this program will give you a place to share and gain knowledge in a relaxed atmosphere. Use one of the library’s computers or bring your own. For teens and adults. Registration is required.

 

Evening Storytime – Feb. 22 from 6:30-7:15 p.m.. This program is for children ages 2 to 6 and a favorite adult. The program includes books, songs, rhymes and movement activities. We build language and early literacy skills through reading, singing, talking and playing. For ages 2-6. Registration is required.

 

Celebrate Becker – Feb. 24 from 10:30-11:15 a.m.. Enjoy a variety of fun winter activities around Becker including a winter themed storytime and fleece scarf craft at the library. For ages 3-6. Limit 20. Registration required. Sponsored by the Friends of the Becker Library.

 

Bingo Night at the Library – Feb. 26 from 6-7:30 p.m..  Enjoy a fun family game night, but at the library! Different themed Bingo games will be used each month. For all ages. Registration is required.
