Car Seat Distribution Classes
Tuesday, June 5th (1:30-3pm) and Wednesday, June 20th (1:30-3pm). Sherburne County Government Center, 13880 Business Center Dr NW. Elk River, MN 55330. Residents of Sherburne County can receive a car seat for a $20 suggested donation. Call to find out income guidelines (families who are on WIC, or children on medical assistance are automatically eligible). WIC (Women, Infants & Children)
For women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, recently had a baby, infants and children to their 5th birthday. WIC provides nutrition education, breastfeeding support, healthy foods and referrals to health services/community resources. The service is free, and you or your children may be eligible. Immunization Tuesdays
Sherburne County’s Immunization Clinic offers free or low cost immunizations for children 18 years of age or younger and uninsured or underinsured adults 19 years and older in Minnesota who meet eligibility guidelines on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call for an appointment or more information, 763-765-4000 or 1-800-433-5239.

Volunteer Bridge
 
Hospital Gift Shop – Serve in the Fairview Northland Medical Center Gift Shop in Princeton. Volunteers are involved with many aspects of the retail shop: Using a cash register and credit card machine, pricing, stocking and customer service. Shifts available M-F morning and afternoon. Day Center Volunteer – Great River Family Promise, assisting local homeless families, needs volunteers to provide hospitality to families in the Day Center in Elk River on weekdays. Hosting involves being present and interacting with family members for a 2 hour shift. Volunteers may also need to answer the phone and take messages for staff. Volunteers must have good people skills and willing to be “task flexible” as the daily needs of families change.  Especially needed Tuesdays 3-5 PM. Care Center Information Desk – Provide information, directions, and assistance in a friendly, courteous manner to visitors and patients as they enter the CentraCare Monticello Care Center. Maintain lobby area. Complete light clerical tasks during quiet times at the desk. Three hour shifts seven days per week, morning and afternoon.
