Homemaking - Assist a Great River Faith in Action client with simple homemaking tasks like vacuuming, dusting, sweeping and organizing once a month. Clients are primarily those 65+. All need extra support and friendship to stay in their own home. Housekeeping never felt so good! Contact Darin or Dani at 763-263-0274.
Health Insurance Counselor – Serve through the Central Minnesota Council on Aging to assist Medicare beneficiaries with such things as; supplemental insurance selection, discussing Medicare Saving Programs, and other forms assistance. Hours are flexible throughout the year with most time invested Oct – Dec. Volunteers set the radius from home they are willing to travel to do in-home counseling. Driver – Imagine not being able to transport yourself to appointments – how difficult! Volunteer with Tri-Cap to transport passengers throughout the Sherburne community, and to the Twin Cities. Driver is required to carry automobile insurance and have a clean driving record. Comprehensive training is provided. A time commitment of at least 6 months is necessary.
