Becker American Legion Auxiliary 
Meet the same night as the men, the second Tuesday of the month from 8-9 p.m. at the Becker Legion (old fire hall). Questions call Paula Hinds at 763-262-6679.
 
National Day of Prayer
Is Thurs., May 4. Everyone is welcome to attend a brief service at noon at Becker City Hall. Lunch will follow. For more information  contact Pastor Patrick from Becker Ev. Free Church 763-261-4125.
 
Becker Cemetery Association Notice
Many flower pots and flower stands are missing from the cemetery. If you leave pots in the cemetery during winter months, check to see if they are still out there. We have notified the Becker Police Dept.
 
Benefit for John Lang 
Spaghetti dinner, silent auction, raffles and t-shirt sales are Sat. May 13 at 3 p.m. at the Friendly Buffalo in Big Lake. Jon was hospitalized Feb. 13 with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

May is Mental Health Month
May is Mental Health Month, NAMI Minnesota (National Alliance on Mental Illness) and other organizations are involved in community education about mental illnesses. Upcoming Events at the Becker Public Library
Read and Play, Tues. May 2 and 9, 10:30-11:15 a.m. For ages 2-6. No registration necessary. Make and Take craft day  Sat. May 6, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. For ages 3-12, enjoy making a fun craftwhile supplies last. This is a self-directed event. Mother’s Day make and take, Mon. May 8, from 4-5 p.m. Surprise mom with a hand-made card, supplies will be provided. For all ages. While supplies last. 
Dementia basics for family, friends and customer service, Thurs., May 11, from 6-7 p.m. Caregivers, families and general public are encouraged to attend this special program For adults.
