The Becker Area Senior Center will be going by bus to the SCSU Planetrium for shows on the Skies of the Pharoahs and the Current Night Sky, Thurs., Dec. 14 followed by lunch at a St. Cloud restaurant. The bus will leave Becker City Hall Parking Lot at 10 a.m. to arrive for the show at 10:50 a.m.. Return about 2:15 p.m.. Cost is $7.50 for bus and pay your own lunch. Join Becker Area Senior Center for a carpool trip to St. John’s University, Collegeville, for a concert featuring sacred and other music by Cold Spring’s Mannerchor (men’s choir based on Welsh miners’ tradition.)  We will leave Becker city hall parking lot at 5:40 p.m. and carpool to St. John’s U Great Hall. Cost is $10.00 for concert ticket and can be paid in advance at BASC. Sign up at 763-528-0643 or at BASC by Dec. 12.  

 

The planning committee of the Becker Area Community Art Festival will meet Wed., Dec. 13, 2 p.m., at the Sherburne History Center. We will discuss plans for the 2018 Festival, scheduled for June at SHC. Anyone interested in helping plan this event is welcome. A call for artists will follow as the date approaches.
