Becker Dollars for Scholars® Meeting

Becker Dollars for Scholars® will have a planning and organizational meeting for the 2017-18 school year scholarship awards and fund-raising phone-a-thon on Tues., Nov. 7,  at 5:15 p.m. at the Becker High School principal’s conference room (room # 701). Civil War Presentation at BASC

Thurs., Nov. 9 at 12:15 p.m. at the Becker Area Senior Center, Becker City Hall Room 140 will have a Veterans Day Program. Lloyd Petersen, Emeriitus Professor of History  at Southwest State University, Marshall will be the presentor. We will have lunch at 11:30. Veterans, please bring any artifacts you wish to share.

Camp Friendship’s Auxilliary

True Friends will have the annual holiday fundraising party Fri. Dec. 8 at 6 p.m. at Camp Friendship's Dining Hall, 10509 108th St. NW, Annandale. The evening features hot and cold hors d'oeuvres, dessert buffet, and wine and beer sampling by Coborns. The start of the Community Toys for Tots campaign is getting underway for the children of the Big Lake, Becker, Clearwater, Clear Lake and Monticello communities. Applications to receive toys through the program can be picked up at the city hall or the food shelf serving any of these five towns. Applications will be accepted through Dec. 5.  This year’s distribution date will be Sat., Dec. 16.
