Practice and Auditions for the Becker High School (Dazzlers) Dance Team are open to girls entering grades 7-12 in the 2015-2016 school year. 

 

Dance Team Prep Clinic dates and times are Mon., Feb. 23, Tues., Feb. 24, and Wed., Feb. 25 from 3:20pm-5pm.

 

Auditions will be held on Thurs., Feb. 26 from 3:20-5:15pm. The Prep Clinic and auditions will be held at the Intermediate School in the large gym.

 

During the Becker Dance Team Prep Clinic a dance routine and dance skills will be identified and taught by current Becker High School Dance Team Captains. It is recommended that candidates interested in joining the Becker High School Dance Team attend all three days of the Prep Clinic in order to be fully prepared for auditions on 2/26. The audition process will determine placement on the team.

 

Candidates wishing to audition for the Becker High School Dance Team will perform a routine and demonstrate dance skills/technique for the audition process on Thurs. Feb. 26. Coaches will evaluate each Becker Dance Team candidate. Candidates selected will be eligible for placement on the Becker High School Varsity or Junior Varsity 2015-2016 Dance Team.

 

Additional details regarding the audition process will be available at the Prep Clinic practices.

 

The Prep Clinic and auditions are free of charge. Please bring athletic and jazz shoes (if available) and dress for movement in non-bulky tops (t-shirts or tank tops (no "cut-off" or "bra" tops may be worn) and shorts/capris/leggings. Black tops and bottoms are recommended so that coaches can best evaluate each candidate's form and technique without distraction of color or pattern of athlete attire. 

 

Bring a water bottle and be prepared for accelerated cardiovascular and strength activity. Being  a member of  Becker High School Dance Team requires a strong commitment by each athlete.
