The Becker chapter of Dollars for Scholars is sponsoring the 25th annual Becker Phone-A-Thon for scholarships.  The Phone-A-Thon will be held on the evenings of February 24th,  March 11th, and March 16th ,with  March 3rd, March 5th, March 23rd, March 24th, and March 25th,  2015, as alternate dates as needed. 

 

Volunteer students will call Becker School district residents to take pledges.  Larger donations from individuals, businesses, and organizations are also accepted.  All money raised is awarded to Becker students.  Scholarships of $500.00 are available to graduating high school seniors planning to attend public or private colleges or technical colleges and to those who are already attending college.  The Becker community has contributed over $370,000 over the past 24 years.

 

Becker Dollars for Scholars now has a website through Scholarship America and all student applications will need to be completed by logging on to becker.dollarsforscholars.org website and click on the “Students and Parents” tab and following the instructions there.
