The Eagles scored five goals in the first period, starting with Zack Vieau at 9:37 minutes into the period, who scored with assists from Ethan Boutin and Ben Gilchrist. Next was Tristan Gust, with assists from Vieau and Brandon Christianson, less than a minute later.

 

Vieau scored two more, the first with an assist from Boutin and the second unaided. Dana Slominski scored the final goal of the period at 15:58 with an assist from Elliot Darsow.

 

Grant Vickerman scored the first goal of the second period on a power play with assists from Alec Green and Jason Tonneslan just 44 seconds in. 

 

John Messman scored at even strength with assists from Nick Stalpes and Ryan Murnane. St. Paul Highland Park scored their only goal in the middle of the second period but the Eagles came back and scored three more, putting the score at 10-1. 

 

Brandon Christianson scored at 13:30 with an assist from Darsow. Grant Vickerman scored with an assist from Tonneslan and Stalpes. Tristan Gust scored with assists from Vieau and Zach Muller.

 

In the third period, the Eagles iced the cake by adding two more unanswered goals. The first was scored by Slominski at even strength with assists from Darsow and Taylor Giving. The second was scored by Vieau, also at even strength, with assists from Boutin and Gust. Goalie Ben Manzke was in the net.

 

The game the Eagles were supposed to play against Pine City Tuesday has been rescheduled to Feb. 7 at Pine City.

 

The Eagles take on Legacy Christian Academy at home Saturday at 7:15 p.m. in the first of three home games. They play North Branch Monday and see St. Paul Highland Park again Thursday.

 

The Eagles are now 9-9 on the season and tied with Legacy Christian Academy for third place in the Two Rivers Conference. Webster-Siren-Frederick- Luck-Grantsburg is in first place and the Mora Mustangs are second.
